Description
A mechanical engineering position with a leading engineering design house specialising in building services. With over 280 staff across six offices in Australia and recent expansion into a global employee-owned group operating in 40+ countries, this is a strong opportunity to join a growing and collaborative team.
The role covers mechanical engineering design for building projects across commercial, multi-residential, and mixed-use developments. You'll be responsible for engineering calculations including cooling loads, duct sizing, fan sizing, plant and equipment layouts, and control schematics, producing documentation and drawings using AutoCAD and 3D CAD software, preparing technical specifications, single line diagrams, and contract documents, and coordinating design across disciplines including structural, hydraulic, and architectural consultants.
This is a hands-on design role with the opportunity to lead multi-discipline projects requiring direct client interface and coordination of internal team deliverables.
Requirements
•Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
•Experience working on multiple projects in a multidisciplinary environment
•Working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D CAD software
•Strong communication skills across all levels and disciplines
•Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
•Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
•Project management skills
